Constituent of the Month - December 2009
Bob Holschier 
The volunteer spirit is what being Australian is all about and Stanhope’s Bob Holschier is the true epitome of that ideal.
Bob is a tireless worker for his community and during his 45 years in Stanhope has held numerous positions on countless community and industry bodies – all in a voluntary capacity.
Even in retirement Bob is still involved in driving local issues and through his involvement with the Stanhope & District Development Committee (S&DDC) has been responsible for launching the very successful “Sponsor a Cow” program which has raised thousands of dollars for drought stricken dairy farmers, the establishment of the Stanhope Business Centre including a Rural Transaction Centre, the return of a retail butcher to Stanhope, and the return of banking services.
He is currently leading the campaign for the provision of a nurse at the Stanhope Community Health Centre.
Bob has made an outstanding contribution to the Rodney electorate over many, many years. His incredible passion, energy, dedication and commitment to his community make him a most worthy recipient of this award.
